The Magnavox Odyssey 4000, whilst similar design, excitedly featured a total of six games; Tennis, Hockey, Soccer, Basketball, Smash, Gridball and a Practice mode for solo-play in Basketball and Smash.
This console also featured skill switches for novice, semi-pro, and professional skill levels together with automatic serve and variable ball speeds. All Relatively new partly added to the previous Odyssey 3000 console and significantly different from all previous dedicated consoles.
Such features were not present in the Philips versions of the Odyssey range until the follow up Odyssey 2100.
